TP-Link TL-WN881ND N300 WiFi 4 PCIe Wireless Adapter

I have five devices in the same room. All except the TP-Link connect and have reasonable performance (20+Mbps on 2.4GHz and 100+Mbps on 5GHz) to my router a couple rooms away, but the TP-Link often disconnects and has so many lost packets that the speed (when it even connects) drops to 1-3Mbps. It's very frustrating that my mobile phone has better reception/performance than this large wifi card with two external antenna. I wouldn't recommend buying this card.

On a separate note, I received TL-WN881ND hardware version 1.0 which hasn't had a driver update from the manufacturer since 2013 and doesn't have an official driver for Windows 10. Don’t buy, my 2012 MacBook Pro and every other wireless device I have, (Samsung galaxies, iPhones) out perform this card that I installed in my brand new ryzen 5 build. Internet works good for a bit but then throttles right down to speeds that I would have expected 10 years ago. Was trying to search something on trademe and it was taking forever to load so I went on the trade me app on my iPhone 8 Plus and found what I was looking for before my new pc even loaded the next web page. Good fairly reliable. Good range and high speeds. Drops out occasionally but that's only once a day at most picks up again after 1-2 min. No problems installing drivers a little difficult if you have no internet and dont have a cd rom drive. But otherwise it's great and worth the money. Good fairly reliable. Good range and high speeds. This is a cheap, effective card with decent linux support (verified working on Debian 12 using the "firmware-realtek" package). Capable of good speeds, I was able to get 55Mbps with a clear line of sight to the router in the same room. Unfortunately the "antenna sticking out the back of your pc" design is not a good one - when I tucked my pc into the corner of a room speeds dropped to ~2Mbps due to loss of reception. Replacing the antenna with a cabled one, and sitting the antenna on my desk saw speeds jump to 20Mbps. Also, the 2.4GHz spectrum can be pretty crowded these days. Unless you live somewhere without much 2.4GHz traffic, you're better off paying a bit more for 5GHz support.
