Great bang for its buck
this is a very good ssd for my setup, always got out of a jiffy, very handy.
Setup is not straight forward
Bit frustrating that WD provides countless pages of disclaimers yet not a one for the complicated setup required.
But for anyone struggling to recognise this drive for a clean Windows installation, here are some tips.
Don't return it straight away, there is nothing wrong with the drive.
Many drives like this require the same setup.
From a working computer you need to Google and download either "Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver" or it's AMD equivalent depending on whether your computer has an Intel or AMD chipset.
If you found the F6 floppy version, put that on your USB stick with the Windows installation.
