I've been looking at the surface pro as an option for many years and finally decided to purchase one. This is a home laptop for me but I am not an extensive user: used for emails, browsing and streaming netflix etc. I was not sure if 8GB RAM would be sufficient but in the end decided I was not a high end user with multiple applications open at once so it should not be an issue - have had no problems whatsover so far - I have been using the surface for about a month.

It's my first time using Windows 11 and can't say I noticed a huge difference or have any complaints. I love the face sign in and find its better than my phone. Only time it may not work is when I do not have my glasses on but even then sometimes it works. The Phone Link feature is pretty cool too.
The graphics are great and watching Netflix etc is very clear. I was also impressed with the sound quality compared to my previous laptop.
I'm quite enjoying ditching the keyboard from time to time and just using it as a tablet. Sometimes it needs to be 'reminded' to go into laptop mode if I have attached the keyboard after shutdown but it's not a big deal.
It's a pity it does not have a USB-A connection but I bought a USB-A -> USB-C adapter and it does the job although I have to ensure it is well plugged in to work properly.
I love the colour and bought the matching forest keyboard and they look very smart together.

I needed to replace my older Surface Book with something faster and lighter. The Surface Pro 9 - Platinum 1TB Storage - 16GB RAM was suggested to me by our IT person. I am not disappointed.
