1. Maximum wireless signal rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual wireless data throughput and wireless coverage are not guaranteed and will vary as a result of 1) environmental factors, including building materials, physical objects, and obstacles, 2) network conditions, including local interference, volume and density of traffic, product location, network complexity, and network overhead, and 3) client limitations, including rated performance, location, connection, quality, and client condition.
2. Use of WiFi 6 (802.11ax) and its features, including OFDMA, HE160, and 1024-QAM, require clients to support the corresponding features. The 160 MHz bandwidth is only available on the 5 GHz band. It may be unavailable in some regions/countries due to regulatory restrictions. The double channel width refers to 160 MHz compared to 80 MHz for general WiFi 6 APs.
3. Omada Mesh, Seamless Roaming, and Captive Portal require the use of Omada SDN controllers. Go to https://www.tp-link.com/en/omada-mesh/product-list/ to find all the models supported by Omada mesh technology to find all the models supported by Omada mesh technology, and refer to the User Guides of Omada SDN controllers for configuration methods.

Really Poor 2.4GHz, almost Non-Existent 5GHz

I bought this to replace a cheap "gamer" style wifi router that I used to have that was starting to need rebooting every day to keep working. Sadly, the antennae on this have incredibly poor range. With the old AP, I had 2.4GHz signal throughout the house, and 5GHz in most places. With this I barely have 5GHz while in line of sight, and the 2.4 drops to -65dbm through one thin wall. go into one bedroom over, and my phone can barely even register that there is an AP - the signal is -80dbm or worse, and I have zero throughput.

Would not reccomend using this in any situation other than maybe 1-2 clients in a small (less than 25square meter) ...view more
