Easy to read display, and menu is easy to navigate. The built-in speaker isn't very good and doesn't do your recording justice. The sound that is recorded is actually very good once you put it on to your PC etc, but directly from the recorders speaker it doesn't sound so good. This is a great little unit for recording memos and reminders, or for recording meetings.
The UBS facility allows me to retain audio copies on my computer for later reference as required
I have had mine for about 6 years and highly recommend it.

Sony make good voice recorders, and this is the second time I have brought this same voice recorder. I lost my first one after having it for three years. This is an excellent handy small recorder, great quality for the price, sound and playback quality, and ease of use. This is a great little device. It's nice and compact. easy to download MP3 to computer. Sound quality of recordings is actually really good. Works great at distance 6-10 feet. Storage is huge and is easy to use. I was looking at some more expensive brands but I'm very happy with the purchase. This is a great little device. Bought to record lectures & because of price point.
Recording is fine & has scenes for 'meeting', 'lecture' etc so you can easy set it for purpose.
Sounds ok after downloading, though I need to crank it up a bit - don't really have anything else to compare it too, but it does what I wanted.
