I wanted a better quality joiner for in the field. In the past I have used the cream ones that are widely available, but have found after some use that they don't hold the plug securely. These, although they are designed for socket in the wall type of fitting, work well for joining cables in the field. They are more expensive, but worth it, in my opinion.
