Noting one of the other comments here I need to say I actually found the setup quite easy. Go into the setup pages of your old WiFi router and copy down the settings (I did screen shots then printed them) then turn it off and unplug it. Next with the Orbi phone app, follow the instructions. Plug in the new Orbi to the power, data cable from the ONT, and another from your ethernet switch if you have one. Select "New setup" on the phone app, Orbi tries to connect to WiFi and when it says "checking" go into the phone's WiFi setup, select the Orbi network (name and password on the sticker around the router) and enter the password. Stay with the default name and password for now, change it later. With Spark (and some other ISP's) it will fail to find the Internet and when it fails, access the Orbi's setup web page on phone or ethernet cable connected PC (http://orbilogin.net/start.htm) go to advanced, Setup, Wireless Setup and put in your ISP settings (as per the old WiFi). Spark requires PPPoE selected. Then for Spark and some others go to Advanced down the bottom, expand that, select VLAN/Bridge Settings and turn on VLAN tagging (VLAN ID 10 Priority 0, WiredPorts and Wireless "All"). Then it will connect. Next you can go Setup-Wireless Setup and change the Network name (SSID) and password to the same as the old WiFi so all devices will connect automatically. Done! You can change various settings to match what the old WiFi was if necessary (manual channels etc). The product is great, a bit expensive but I expect it to last. WiFi 6 is so fast, up from 54Mbps to over 600 (more when closer). It seems really stable and everything is connected. The coverage throughout the house is amazing.

Product it's self is good. Parental controls are crap and pointless and a very expensive subscription to get them. As for Netgear customer support that is complete BS. They are not helpful at all and try and make everything difficult. This is a premium product with a premium price and has been a disappointing experience. Product it's self is good. A reason from buying it was to stop my PC, Tablet and printer from getting disconnected because of bandwidth/channel conflict with the other 12-20 wifi hotspots that I could "see" in the building. I would connect , it would run fine for a while them my internet or printer would go away, disconnecting and reconnecting would make it come back. This solved the problem, no longer to to disconnect and reconnect and provided faster service. This appears to make better user of the available frequencies and bandwidth as well and providing better coverage. When you get stuck, you then need to connect with a web browser to finish the setup. Plus a big jump in the connection speed jumping from about 800Mbps down to just over 900Mbps down, with a similar jump from 400Mbps up to just over 500Mbps up (faster than what 2Degrees say is possible).

So very pleased with the purchase, although it is an expensive purchase.

Found this really easy to set up. The app works great, and the coverage is amazing. Set this up in a two story 225m2 house and no dead spots. Actually still have coverage down the driveway at the letterbox. Found I had to setup the main router first allow it to update firmware and reboot before starting on satellite. I get speeds above 800mb/s on all my Wifi-6 devices.

I just bought this and was upset that I didn't buy a WIFI 6E compatible mesh router as the Wifi 6 standard has just been replaced with the 6E. In saying this, the Orbi system could be plugged directly into my Chorus ONT (I had to ring Netgear to get them to change the settings first) which avoids the need to have a Spark modem at all. This was great. Wifi around the house works a lot better now. This is a great system however after purchasing it I discovered that it does not have circle parental control functionalities. Given the high price of the system I rather dismayed at this. It is very expensive and needs to be set up properly to work in NZ. It is not sold by PB Tech with the NZ settings. It was a waste of time to phone netgear after 2 hours on n the phone they suggested me taking it back ti the store to get it repaired. It wasn't faulty. The ap that it comes with is not functional enough to reset it for NZ. In the end I got a IT guru to come over and configure it for us.
Once running, it has an enormous range and is reasonably quick, downloads of about 350 -950Mbps and uploads of200-470Mbps, depending on the app less than the 6 Gbps advertised.
