DrayTek Vigor130 ADSL/VDSL Gigabit Modem Router, 1 x LAN

I bought this to replace a DLink modem / router / wifi AP, which stopped working after a lightning storm. My experience is that the VDSL modem function is the weak link in my home network, modems seem to burn out after 2 - 3 years. Also the ISP issued modems were hopeless, unable to handle multiple users on the network. So I decided to get a device that does fewer functions, in the hope it will do them well. Overall I'm really happy with the Draytech performance.

I've deployed many of these of the years and currently use one at home. Easily handles 100mbit+ VDSL connections with 100 or more users without fault. Only ever had one fail (continuously dropping and resyncing) which was after about 6 months and was promptly replaced by PB Tech. Great little VDSL modem. I'm using it on a network with multiple subnets, and lots of people. Most other VDSL modems require hacking to let them work with multiple subnets, this one just worked.
