LG GH24NSD1 Internal SATA DVD Writer , Black colour , OEM package

This Part is one of many New Parts for my first ever complete ground up build computer.
All parts where selected for specific purpose for this build which will be my Media Centre PC
for my Home Theatre System once I get my gear set up.
It's all new and running Windows 11 Professional as that's what I am generally use to, "Professional"
that is. There is only one item I am still waiting on to arrive to complete this build which is a 3.5''
front mounted Memory Card R

I may upgrade to Blue Ray ODD later on, not that I purchase BluRay Movies.
My other PC will have one in it for Back Up purposes and I may use it to
play back movie files instead of them on the internal 2TB HDD.

This is a good CD/DVD-RW drive if you still need one. SATA connectors. Straightforward to install and works as advertised.

I was relieved that they still sell DVD drives, and for a great price at that. I was expecting as optical drives get phased out this might get more expensive and harder to find. I'm pleasantly surprised to find what I need at PB. I was relieved that they still sell DVD drives, and for a great price at that. I bought a pair of these CD/DVD writers because one of my existing pair had failed. They function well, and passed my test with a particular weakly recorded DVD that I use for this purpose. I can't imagine how these can be made for the price . Should keep my desktop going a few more years. I bought a pair of these CD/DVD writers because one of my existing pair had failed. Ok so the images shown are outdated. The drive does not has white signage on the front, instead it just has M-Disc on the left and LG in the middle embossed. The disc drive will make a noise when the computer is booted but that is unavoidable as it is just checking to see if there is a disc in it. LED indicator is green. Not much else that can be said about a disc drive, It is the cheaper of the two available her on PB that is not Blu-Ray. Very easy to install. Ok so the images shown are outdated. Operates well and works exactly as expected. Not noisy at all. Only downfall is that it doesn't come with screws to attach this to the case but that's not a problem.
